I have a bone to pick with The Plain Dealer. I watched the Cleveland Crossfire podcast of the endorsement interview involving Cuyahoga County Council member Michael J. Gallagher and his challenger Courtney Scheff. The interview was not a balanced exchange. Gallagher got more time and more latitude, and I felt like the questioning towards Courtney was, at points, antagonistic.
I know and am a supporter of Courtney. I first met her at the North Royalton Democratic Club that she started in 2022. As president, I have watched her week in and week out work for democracy in our city and state. She is a committed, informed, organized communicator. She runs the club by the book. So to see her treated the way she was, was infuriating.
